No general anesthesia is needed and another benefit is that there is little to no recovery time after the procedure. * PDO threads are made of polydioxanone, a polymer used in medical sutures. In a thread lift procedure, PDO threads are embedded just beneath the surface of the skin with a cannula – the same flexible tool used to inject dermal fillers.
