Vivace Microneedling RF

Vivace is  FDA approved and the Vivace microneedling with radio frequency device was approved and cleared in January 2016.

What is Vivace Microneedling with Radiofrequency

Vivace Microneedling is a revolutionary, FDA-approved skin-tightening procedure that stimulates the growth of the skin’s collagen and elastin by sending Microneedling Fractionated Radio Frequency (MFR) energy deep into the skin’s layers, giving it a rejuvenated, youthful glow.

The procedure consists of placing a handpiece made of either insulated or non-insulated gold microneedles on the skin which then release the MFR energy into the skin’s many layers. The use of the microneedles and MFR energy in conjunction really helps to penetrate the skin and ensure that its top layer is left unchanged.

This innovative equipment allows for comfort maximization and overall satisfaction with the procedure. The radio frequency of the laser can be customized to suit different skin types, treatment areas, and skin concerns. The risk for post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation is also lowered for those patients with darker skin tones and is safe for use on patients suffering from melasma or other colored lesions.

A red LED laser is used to trigger skin cells to increase collagen production, improving the skin’s tone and texture. A blue LED laser then acts on any existing acne-causing bacteria, successfully improving the appearance of any preexisting acne.

What Is Involved In The Vivace Microneedling Treatment?

The Vivace microneedling procedure is performed using a handpiece placed on the skin’s surface at the site of the treatment area. The handpiece consists of a multiple needle head that, when accurately applied within a specified depth, activates the MFR energy. Each time one of the microneedles breaks the skin, a tiny passage is created that prompts the body to produce new collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid in the skin’s uppermost layer in addition to creating new capillaries. As a result of the needles actions and the body’s responses, a foundation is set for an increase in dermal production.

The recommended course of treatment will be discuss at the consult. The procedure itself takes 30-45 minutes and is not very painful, however, topical anesthetics can be used to numb any localized pain or discomfort.
